Thomas Rhatigan Park
Older wooden playgrounds have features that you just don’t find at other parks – like this gem at Thomas Rhatigan Park in Riverbend. The unusual climber – like the walls with pull chains, and the built in “forts” that go hand in hand with wooden playgrounds, are often our favourites. This playground also features a cool balance beam, a tunnel of curved overhead bars that make unique monkey bars, and an umbrella spinner with bars that hang off the umbrella. This playground has swings – 4 standard, 2 baby and 2 tire swings – and is based in sand.
