The Meadows Community Rec Centre

Splash park, but make it art! Tucked in behind The Meadows Community Rec Centre is this cool little splash park. This colourful and fun installation is on the west side of the building and can’t be seen from 17 Street or 23 Avenue, so to access it, you’ll have to drive into the parking lot and head around back. There are bathrooms that can be accessed from the outside along the west exterior wall of the Meadows Rec Centre. Additional bathrooms are available inside the building. The spray park is out in the open, but there is a large overhang on the west side of the building which provides shade to patch of grass for most of a summer day!

We have found the blue surface of this spray park to be more slippery than a typical concrete spray park. Water shoes can help, but this is still a park for walking, not running!

In winter, the Meadows also creates a lovely outdoor ice ribbon that is accessible for free.
