Sylvan Lake’s Beach Playground

WOW. It’s pretty much the only thing the 3 of us could say as we got out of the car and made our way over to Sylvan Lake’s Beach Playground! The tall tower rises above the rest of the playground, with not one, not two – a whopping EIGHT slides! There are a variety of ways to climb up, around and even through the main structure. Just steps away from it you’ll find a matching toddler park with another three slides.
Outstanding accessory pieces are located at every turn – there’s the massive Grand Strand rope climber (one of our favourites – scroll down to find a list of Edmonton Playgrounds that have the Grand Strand!), an X-Wave undulating balance beam, a giant climbable sea serpent, and a musical area with a variety of features including a rainbow xylophone! The slide selection here offers something for everyone – 2 baby swings, 2 standard swings, an accessible swing, a parent/baby generation swing, and a saucer swing.
A path runs through the park, and across it you’ll find a slightly separated toddler area. We love the little playhouse and the adorable spring-riders.
The playground is located just a short walk from a bathroom building in Sylvan Lake Park. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables nearby. Pay parking is enforced at certain times of the year in Sylvan Lake – learn more HERE.
