Summerland Memorial Park is a beacon of bright and fun colours set at the back of a beautiful greenspace in Summerland, BC. We had barely stopped the car when the girls took off in a run across the field to this outstanding playground that truly offers something for everyone.

Once I got past the sight of the two massive orange slides, (notably the Mighty Descent slide, which is 8 feet across!) the first thing I noticed was how many different levels of challenge options are available in this playground for kids of all ages! My climbers adored this park – notably the uniquely-designed dome climber, and the series of rope climbers and bridges that stretch through the middle of the main piece.

The girls loved the accessory pieces, like the orange playcube, the Cozy Cocoon spinning sphere and the Spinami tall rope spinner. There are other surprising features to find all around this park – including a sliding puzzle game, a steering wheel with real automotive sounds, and sensory features built into the dome!

In addition to the fabulous new playground equipment, visitors to this park can enjoy a fitness park, the old Rotary playground, a bathroom building, plenty of benches and picnic tables and a vast green space! We think it’s a perfect pit stop playground for a drive through the Okanagan, or a destination park when visiting lovely Summerland!
