This year’s Must-Visit Edmonton Playgrounds list was made possible thanks to the generous support of Park N Play Design!

1. Hardisty School
- The addition of a massive new climber put an already good playground over the top! Hardisty School also added an inclusive play area that has a saucer swing, sensory play features, an electronic game and accessible surfacing. The original playground remains, offering a superb obstacle course layout and great slides. This playground was built by Park N Play Design.
- Location: Hardisty School, 10535 – 62 Street, Edmonton
- When you visit: Zip a few blocks east to one of our classic wooden favourites with a charming spray park, Gold Bar Playground.

2. Bishop Savaryn School
- Bishop Savaryn School makes our Must-Visit list for one BIG reason – it’s home to the northernmost Zipline Spinner in Edmonton! We love that the obstacle course layout of this playground also includes some risky-play options. This playground was built by Park N Play Design.
- Location: Bishop Savaryn School, 16215-109 Street, Edmonton
- When you visit: Make a point to also check out nearby Baturyn Playground – it made our 2022 Summer Must-Visit Playgrounds list!

3. Michaels Park (North Millbourne Community League)
- Climbing kids will have a field day at the new playground in Michaels Park at the North Millbourne Community League! A huge rope climber is the central feature and the playground layout has a great obstacle course design. The younger crowd will enjoy this one too, as there are lots of sensory features and a toddler section, including low monkey bars! A fitness park rounds out the fun here. This playground was built by Park N Play Design.
- Location: Michaels Park (North Millbourne Community League), 980 Millbourne Road E, Edmonton
- When you visit: Michaels Park is near our favourite ninja gym, Elemental Ninja! Register for a summer camp or drop in for an open gym session!

4. Joey Moss School
- The massive slide is a showstopper but there is so much more to love and appreciate about the playground at Joey Moss School! This playground has an excellent obstacle course layout with ninja features like cliffhangers and a mini warped wall! Sensory features, a large swing set and cool spinners round out the fun!
- Location: Joey Moss School, 1905-182 Street SW, Edmonton
- When you visit: Try the ninja cliffhangers and mini warped wall! We included this playground on our list of Best Ninja Playgrounds in Edmonton!

5. Kensington School
- A playground 60 years in the making, Kensington School Playground is an exceptional new addition to Edmonton’s playground scene! It features the first in-ground trampoline in Edmonton, the fastest in-ground merry-go-round anywhere, tons of inclusive features including a circuit slide and a sensory seat and MUCH more! This playground is so good it also now tops our list of All-Time Best Playgrounds in Edmonton!
- Location: Kensington School, 13410-119 Street, Edmonton
- When you visit: Zip across the field and check out the older-but-still-awesome wooden playground and adorable spray park at Kensington Park!

6. Willow Park School (Leduc)
- Leduc’s Willow Park School is one of three fully-inclusive new playgrounds to make our 2025 list – a trend we love to see! It has full rubber base throughout, a fun marble run game and an avalanche slide – which is a version of the inclusive circuit slide. Kids will love The Big Kahuna fish – a bridge with monkey bars built in underneath!
- Location: Willow Park School, 5212-52 Street, Leduc
- When you visit: consider adding a nature adventure to your day! Telford Lake is a great spot for walking, biking and exploring!

7. Pleasantview Playground
- This might be the loveliest all-around experience you’ll have from this year’s must-visit playground list! The new playground at Pleasantview Community League compliments the mature trees, sports facilities and gazebo in this beautiful Edmonton neighbourhood. Little kids will love the impressive toddler options here – small play structure, playhouse, music area, car and dino bones you can dig up! Big kids will love the obstacle course!
- Location: Pleasantview Playground, 10860-57 Avenue, Edmonton
- When you visit: you’re just a hop, skip and a jump away from Parkallen’s Ellingson Park, another well-rounded gem with a pump track!

8. Bertha Kennedy School (St. Albert)
- This is a 2-for-1 playground experience, as the new playground at Bertha Kennedy School was added to complement an older playground on the site. We love the rope climber and all the fun accessory pieces at this playground, like the wobbly surfboard and gymnastics bars. The new playground also features a zipline with a swing seat attachment, which offers a bit of a novelty, but I will continue my appeal for a platter attachment for this zipline, as I’m confident it would provide a faster and more fun ride!
- Location: Bertha Kennedy School, 175 Larose Drive, St. Albert
- When you visit: Did you know the St. Albert Botanic Park is FREE to visit? Check it out for a nature adventure or some beautiful photos!

9. Ecole Sacre Coeur (St. Albert)
- A playground with a lot of options! We loved the zipline, the rope climber and the mini warped wall at Ecole Sacre Coeur – and those are just the accessory features! The main structure also offers a couple great slides, climbers and one of only two Alex’s Lemonade Stand play markets that we’ve found in Edmonton!
- Location: Ecole Sacre Coeur, 100 Sir Winston Churchill Avenue, St. Albert
- When you visit: you’re not far from another playground with super slides! Make a stop at Neil M. Ross School to try two of the biggest slides around!

10. Alces Playground
- This new neighbourhood made it a priority to create a vibrant community space! Alces playground sits at the heart of the new Alces neighbourhood in an area that includes a huge picnic shelter, basketball court, shale bike trail and green space! At the playground we love the tall towers, slide build into the hill, adorable spring riders and parent-child tandem swing!
- Location: Alces Playground, Alces Drive SW, Edmonton
- When you visit: zip into the next neighbourhood to the west, The Hills at Charlesworth, to check out its unique playground and disc golf course!

11. Calder School Playground
- There’s much more to Calder School Playground than just the tiny structure pictured – but it is a piece of equipment that gets a lot of attention due to the fact that it is one of the rare playgrounds with a Toy Car Racetrack! The rest of this playground is a gem, with an obstacle course layout, fun accessories and more!
- Location: Calder School Playground, 12950-118 Street, Edmonton
- When you visit: you can enjoy THREE great newer playgrounds in one common greenspace! In addition to Calder School Playground, you’ll find Calder Community Playground and St. Edmund School Playground.

12. Lodgepole Inclusive Playground (St. Albert)
- The tiniest playground on our list, but one we wanted to acknowledge for many reasons! Lodgepole Inclusive Playground is bright and cheery, fully accessible and offers some fun features that we don’t see often. (The Universal Swing and the adorable tool bench are two standouts for me!
- Location: Lodgepole Inclusive Playground, next to 18 Lodgepole Crescent, St. Albert
- When you visit: also check out the Fire Station-themed Versailles Park – it’s one of the Best Toddler Playgrounds in Edmonton and area!
