Spring Break 2026 in Edmonton and area is almost here! Most kids get March 30 to April 3 off for the 2026 Spring Break, but some kids get March 23 to 27, so this list of events will cover both weeks, where applicable. Wondering how to keep the kids busy over spring break in Edmonton? Read on for ideas and fun!
- KIDS SKI & RENT FREE AT MARMOT BASIN
How about a road trip? Jasper’s Marmot Basin is offering Kids Ski & Rent FREE Mondays through Fridays all season long, including Spring Break! Planning your visit for a weekend? No problem – Marmot has a great Family Ski Package that covers Saturdays & Sundays!
Did you know? Marmot also offers Spring Vacation Ski or Snowboard Camps! All ages and abilities are welcome. Camps are available March 28 to April 1.

- SPRING BREAK AT TELUS WORLD OF SCIENCE – EDMONTON
TELUS World of Science – Edmonton is the place to be during Spring Break! It’ll be one of your last chances to enjoy the “Jurassic World by Brickman” Feature Exhibition!
One of the most exciting offerings from the science centre this spring break will be the debut of the Laser K-Pop Demon Hunters show in the Ziedler Dome! (Additional ticket required)
The first Friday of the month falls during Spring Break and that means the science centre is open LATE! Visit until 9pm on Friday, April 3. The science centre will also be open TWO Mondays in a row – both March 30 and April 6 for extra fun!

- CITY OF EDMONTON 2-FOR-1 DEAL
Exciting news for Alberta residents! You can pay the drop-in admission rates for the Edmonton Valley Zoo or Muttart Conservatory and receive complimentary admission to the other facility! Both visits must be made on or before March 29, 2026.

- ROYAL ALBERTA MUSEUM
Royal Alberta Museum is typically closed Mondays and Tuesdays, but the museum will be OPEN ALL WEEK during Spring Break including Monday & Tuesday (March 30 & 31)! The current feature exhibition is “Death: Life’s Greatest Mystery”
Visit the museum to play in the Children’s Gallery, visit the Bug Gallery and much more! There will be daily activities like “Live Bug Encounters” and your chance to “Plant a Garden Tomato” each day between March 29 and April 6.
Heads up that Museum Membership Passes will be increasing in price on April 1, 2026, so you may want to make a visit and purchase or renew your Mammoth Pass to lock in the current pricing for another year!

- STRATHCONA COUNTY SPORTZONE
Visit Millennium Place in Sherwood Park or Ardrossan Rec Centre in Ardrossan for drop-in fun featuring inflatables, giant building blocks, mini-sticks hockey, sports equipment and much more! **Heads up that SportZone follows the Elk Island School Division Spreak Break dates, which are a week earlier than most of the rest of the region!

The Edmonton Oil Kings’ season is nearly done! Their final theme game is happening Sunday, March 22. It’s the annual Team Awards game and it’s also a Family Fun Sunday game, complete with concourse carnival, post-game autograph session and more!

Fun events are happening in libraries in our neighbouring communities – Here are a few that caught my eye: “Supa Cool Dog Man Partay” at Strathcona County Library; Set Sail for Spring Break at Fort Saskatchewan Library; Spring Break Mystery Game: Duck, Duck, Moose at St. Albert Public Library; The Makerspace Cart at Stony Plain Public Library; Spring Break Magical Science at Leduc Public Library; and Spring Break Dinosaur Week at Beaumont Public Library.
- SPRING BREAK AT INDIGO KIDS
Each year, select Indigo Kids Stores host Spring Play Days during Spring Break. This year, activities will be held Sunday through Saturday. ! It costs $5 to register in advance for the sessions, which are held at 11am and 1pm daily – and participants will receive a $5 store gift card when they attend.
Sherwood Park sessions will run March 22 to 28. Edmonton and St. Albert sessions will run March 29 to April 4.

The City of Edmonton’s Reuse Centre is hosting Sustainable Fashion Week, a registered week-long event for kids aged 14-18. Participants will design and create their own clothes from recycled and upcycled item. Registration is open until March 13.

Both Cineplex and Landmark theatres are offering discount family movies during spring break week!
At Cineplex, choose from “How to Train Your Dragon”, “The Bad Guys 2”, “Smurfs” and “Paw Patrol: Rocky’s Cat-astrophe”.
