South Terwillegar Playground
Welcome to the outstanding South Terwillegar playground – AKA “Ant Park”! This playground is a community hub and always seems so popular with the neighbourhood families – and it’s easy to see why. It’s an Edmonton classic that offers a little taste of everything!
The main structure is built in a square, with platforms above and all the monkey bar attachments below. There are super slides, climbers, a classic merry-go-round, and more. The toddler park, home of the ant, is a mini version of the same, with a small sand area that includes a raised play space. . There are special touches, like stepping stools that look like mushrooms š, tall blades of grass for climbing, and lots of adorable critters! (The spray park has a giant frog and snail, plus there are animal carvings all around, like owls carved into trash cans!)
This playground is based is a mix of rubber, wood chips and sand. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables, including a covered gazebo, and a huge green space beyond the playground.
