Sherwood Heights Playground
A small but fun playspace under a canopy of mature trees, Sherwood Heights Playground is now updated with modern equipment! (July 2024)
The new playground features two main structures with slides, a huge bank of swings (6 standard, 3 baby and 1 accessible), and an “imagination station” featuring a cafe counter, finger maze, sensory panel and more. There are a number of accessory pieces, including a dome climber, a teeter-totter, a dish spinner and a spring rider.
I am positive that one of the two main structures is a piece salvaged from the former Florian Park, (Firetruck Park) which was dismantled in 2023 to make way for new school construction.
Sherwood Heights playground is based in sand. There are benches and picnic tables throughout. It sits alongside the Sherwood Heights Pickleball Courts and Sherwood Heights outdoor rink.
