Ramsay Park

Every playground has a story in our family, and the story behind this one is a series of sweet photos I took of the girls on one of the saucer slides on a sunny summer day at Ramsay Park. (a bit of a contrast to the gloomy, overcast day that these pics were snapped!)

This is a lovely classic with a lot of variety – big kid and toddler parks with seemingly endless options for climbing, sliding and obstacle-course-making. The toddler park has a finger park (great for bringing little cars to play on) as well as a play car, a cute little hut and a couple of spring riders. This playground offers swings (4 standard, 2 baby and 2 saucer) as well as a tall rope merry-go-round. It’s based in sand with a little bit of rubber base in parts. There are benches, picnic tables and a covered shelter.

There is a skateboard area in the field beyond the playground, as well as a hill that would be great for sledding in winter!
