Bright colours and big slides make for a fun combo at the new playground at Pryce Alderson Park in Fort Saskatchewan! The city upgraded the play area in this lovely community park to offer more options and more accessibility.
A mix of sand and rubber bases this playground. The main structure had a ramp with a variety of panel games and accessories. Climbing kids can use the ladders to get up to the second or third decks to access the big slides. Monkey bars, rings and hopping stools extend out from the main section.
An adorable toddler park topped by a rainbow butterfly suncatcher sits nearby. Accessory features around the park include a four-seat teeter-totter, a car and a merry-go-round. A large bank of swings offers 3 standard swings, 1 accessible swing, 1 saucer swing and 1 tandem baby/parent swing.
The original spray park remains, as does the bathroom/changeroom building. A new outdoor fitness equipment park has been added nearby for those who enjoy an outdoor workout. This park is expansive and there is plenty of green space, some large trees for shade and a huge parking lot.
