There are so many great options when it comes to outdoor skating in Edmonton! We’ve compiled a list of some of our favourites Edmonton outdoor rinks, as well as those in neighbouring communities – plus links so you can check the ice status before you go!

The list below shares public ice surfaces in Edmonton and area. A friendly reminder that to use Community League ice surfaces, citizens should have skate tags.

For the 2026 season, the City of Edmonton skating ice includes City Hall, Castle Downs Park, Rundle Park Iceway, Sir Wilfred Laurier Park, Jackie Parker Park, The Meadows and Victoria Park.

Free skate rentals are available courtesy of the Edmonton Arts Council during select hours like their Winter City Weekends programming. Paid rentals are available via My Lakehouse in Rundle Park.
