North Glenora Playground

An absolute Edmonton classic! The old wooden structures of North Glenora Playground make it a true gem in our city’s playground scene. We love the main wooden “hotel” – a huge play space with 5 big slides, tons of climbers, monkey bars, and our favourite – the hanging ring sliders.

The toddler park has a smaller main structure, as well as a little building that looks like a hut with table and chairs. There’s a dinorsaur, a four-person teeter-totter, and a few spring riders, including a turtle, and a motorcycle with sidecar! There’s also and old wooden car in front of the Groat Road Auto building – perfect for imaginative play! Swing fans will be pleased to know there are 2 baby swings and 4 standard swings.

This playground has a classic spray deck – cement base with ground sprayers only. There’s also a small skate board park, and a lot of grassy green space on either side of the playground. Sand is the base here and there are plenty of benches and picnic tables. There was also a porta potty during our most recent summer visit.
