The new Edmonton playground at Meyonohk Park and Meyonohk school is open as of September 2026 – and, BIG NEWS, it’s a ZIPLINE PLAYGROUND!
A vast array of new equipment stretches throughout this spacious playground – including the aforementioned zipline. (always a super popular feature at the best Edmonton Playgrounds) My girls loved the main structures and the obstacle course stretching out from it.
Climbing kids and monkey bar fans will love this playground. There are 3 sets of monkey bars and they are tall, which makes the park appealing to bigger kids and adults alike. Climbers here include a half-dome climber and an M-shaped climber.
The toddler park is a smaller version of the big kid park. The feature that stood out to us is the flower stepping stools at each end of the balance beam.
Lots of accessory pieces fill this playground – there is a spring rider airplane, a double-spring rider fire truck, a single spinner, a small classic merry-go-round, and a teeter-totter. Swings on site include 4 standard swings and 2 baby swings. (There is a space for another swing and I suspect a saucer swing will be added soon.)
Meyonohk Playground is based in wood chips. There are benches and picnic tables on site and trees surround the playground to offer some shade to parts of it.
