Laurier Park

Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautiful places to play in Edmonton! The Howling Coyote playground in Laurier Park is a natural play space tucked into a beautiful, tree-lined location. The coyote climber is fun for all ages, the tall tower take you to the top of the zippiest slide around. There are balance beams, bouncing leaves for hopping and swinging rings. This playground has swings – 2 standard and 2 saucer, and even a little bike trail with bridges set in the trees, just off the playground. There are a few benches near the park, and plenty of picnic sites just steps away!

The easiest way to find this playground is to park in one of the lots that borders the Valley Zoo parking lot, and walk south, right into the trees! You’re sure to encounter the coyote! (You can also follow the trail west from the bathroom building – the playground is quite close by.)

There’s a smaller, second playground that is made of beam structures set up with a small net at the bottom. That park is located to the west of the bathroom building, in a more visible site. That park is based in sand.
