Kinsmen Leisure Centre Indoor playground
Stepping inside the indoor playground at Kinsmen Leisure Centre is kind of like stepping inside a toybox. There is colour in every direction you turn. Kids will run from one fun feature to the next. The adorable art that covers the walls may be lost on them, but parents are sure to love it!
This nautical-themed indoor playground in Sherwood Park is located at the Kinsmen Leisure Centre, in a part of the building that over looks the pool. The big boat, submarine and giant sand castle are features kids will love! (They’re perfect for hide-n-seek, too!) There are also giant blue building blocks, balls, foam pieces for obstacle-course or fort building, balance beams, and even a giant tunnel through which to run! Kids will love the cute critter accessories that abound – from the dolphin rocker to the sea turtle to the snake on the climbing wall. (Oh yeah – there’s a climbing wall!)
This indoor playground is definitely geared toward the younger set, likely kids aged 6 and under. The price is nice too, with a daily admission fee for kids aged 2 to 12 coming in at just $4.50. Parents can access the playground free with their kids. (The adult admission rate is $9 if you plan to use the pool) This playground is also used by the preschool and pre-K programs that operate out of the Kinsmen building. - COST: Day pass for kids 2-12 is $4.50. Kids under 2 are free! Parents don’t need to pay if accessing only indoor playground. If accessing other parts of the facility, like the pool, the adult day admission rate is $9.00.
