James McCrie Douglas Park
The adorable green playhouse, gas pump and music area are the stars of the show (at least in the toddler area) at the playground in James McCrie Douglas Park in the Windermere neighbourhood. We love the little details – the house has a spinner that allows kids to choose which animal lives in their tree and which pet lives inside their house! There’s also a fire truck spring river and a driving play area with a domed rearview mirror!
The main structures are also superb. The smaller one is nicely sized with slide, climbing wall and even a little agility course. The bigger one has climbers, slides, and obstacle equipment for days! This playground has swings – 3 standard, 2 baby and 1 accessible swing. I believe this playground is used by at least one of the school in the shared field.
