Small-but-mighty is the new playground at Horse Hill School in the far northeast part of Edmonton. The newly updated (September 2026) playground includes the cutest climbable rocket and a tall tube slide! There are monkey bars, two gliders and a set of swings with 4 standard swings.

One of the older playgrounds that was on-site remains. It also features a slide, some climbers and a set of monkey bars.

Both playgrounds are based in sand. There is a paved basketball court next to the playground. There are some mature trees on site for shade and a huge green space beyond the playground.

While there is a ramp from the basketball court to a platform on the playground, there is nothing to do while on that platform and because of that, and the sand surfacing through the rest of the playground, I have noted below that there are no accessible features at this playground. In my opinion, a ramp alone does not make a playground accessible.
