Hawrelak Park

***Hawrelak Park will be CLOSED to the public for 3 years beginning March 13, 2023 for an extensive rehabilitation project. Replacement of the playground will be part of this work.***

Hawrelak Park is one of Edmonton’s favourite places to play – year round. Aside from skating, skiing, and paddle boats, we love the playground, creek and art installations!

The playground is located at picnic shelter number 3. The big buildings, like the general store and grain elevator, are perfect for imaginative play, as is the hatching dinosaur! There’s a big rope merry go round, and the cutest little tiny one too, plus a climbing wall, wooden climbing poles, a toddler playground and swings (2 baby and 1 saucer). There’s even a mini bike track surrounding the park!

The creek is located due south of the main parking lot, just past the amphitheatre. You’ll find art installations scattered in the area between the amphitheatre and the Community League Plaza.
