Greenfield Playground
Some retro classics mixed with modern fun! This is the Greenfield Playground – the centrepiece of what I call the Greenfield trifecta – three outstanding playgrounds that share a common green space! (The other two are Greenfield School and St Stanislaus School.)
The community league park is fantastic. The main structure is ramped with a music area and a selection of slides, climbers and monkey bars. The toddler park is oversized to accommodate the dinosaur. The retro duck spring rider sits nearby, as does the motorcycle spring rider in the small sand pit that’s separate from the rest of the playground. Between the two structures is a unique find – my kids call it a “stage” – a climber that can be accessed by a variety of climbers.
This playground also has a cement-based spray park. The main playground is based in wood chips, with a separate sand pit that also offers a sand table and the only swing set on site, with one baby swing and one accessible swing. There are benches, tables and mature trees surrounding the park. We have often found there to be a porta-potty on site too.
