  • SPRING BREAK & EASTER AT TELUS WORLD OF SCIENCE – EDMONTON

Enjoy extra time at TELUS World of Science – Edmonton! The Science Centre will be open an extra hour (9am-6pm) from March 23 to April 1, giving you more time for science-y fun!

While you’re there, don’t miss Dinosaurs: The Exhibition in the feature gallery and Dinosaurs of Antarctica in the IMAX Theatre!

But wait, there’s MORE! Special programming during Spring Break and Easter weekend includes daily science demos, Laser Movie Magic in the Zeidler Dome, the chance to make your own bioplastics toy out of milk and MORE!

  • CITY OF EDMONTON 2-FOR-1 DEAL

Pay drop-in admission rates for the Edmonton Valley Zoo or Muttart Conservatory and receive complimentary admission to the other facility! Both visits must be made on or before April 1, 2024.

  • ROYAL ALBERTA MUSEUM

Royal Alberta Museum is typically closed Mondays and Tuesdays, but the museum will be OPEN March 25, 26 and April 1 during Spring Break and Easter Monday!

Visit the museum to check out the feature exhibition “Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia”, play in the Children’s Gallery, visit the Bug Gallery and much more! There will be activities like “Plant a Wildflower”, “Investigation Station” and “Live Animal Encounter” each day between March 23 & April 1.

  • SPRING BREAK AT EDMONTON PUBLIC LIBRARIES

Parachute parties, LEGO builds, drumming circles, Zoo 2 U, Origami workshops and so much more! There are fun Spring Break activities planned for every age group at every branch of the Edmonton Public Library!

Fun events are happening in libraries in our neighbouring communities – Here are a few that caught my eye: “The Jupiter Joe Space Show” at Strathcona County Library; Ferguson the Fox’s Spring Break Reading challenge (with prizes!) at Fort Saskatchewan Library; Bad Hare Day, the Spring Break Mystery Game at St. Albert Public Library; The Happiness Programme at Stony Plain Public Library; Upcycle Art at Leduc Public Library; LEGO Play at Beaumont Public Library.

Visit Millennium Place in Sherwood Park or Ardrossan Rec Centre in Ardrossan for drop-in fun featuring inflatables, giant building blocks, mini-sticks hockey, sports equipment and much more!

Head to Churchill Square on Monday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 26 for Spring Break on the Square! Enjoy giant games, performances, dance parties and more! Food trucks will be on-site too!

  • SPRING BREAK WEEK AT MILL WOODS TOWN CENTRE

Enjoy a new activity between 2pm-4pm each day from March 25 to 29 at Mill Woods Town Centre. Themes include LEGO, crafts and obstacle courses! Register for the entire week in advance for $25 and enter for the chance to win prizes when you complete the activities.

  • EASTER ACTIVITIES AT LONDONDERRY MALL

Visit Mali’s Art Studio in Londonderry Mall for daily drop-in Easter Egg painting between March 1 and April 7, 2024.

Londonderry will also be hosting photos with the Easter Bunny and the Spring Fairy at select times from March 22 to 30.

  • KIDS WONDERLAND AT WEST EDMONTON MALL MARINE LIFE

Offered daily 2pm-4pm from March 23 to April 1, the Kids Wonderland program gives children aged 6 to 12 the chance to go behind the scenes at WEM’s Marine Life! Enjoy crafts, activities, games and animal encounters. Book in advance using the link below.

Dress up (or down, we don’t judge) and head to these locations for Easter Bunny photos! Times vary, so use the links for more info: Southgate Centre, Londonderry Mall, St. Albert Centre, Sherwood Park Mall, The Marketplace at Callingwood, Cabela’s Stores, Bonnie Doon Centre.

Sid’s Selfie World will have the Easter Bunny on site to snap photos with visitors on Saturday, March 23 & Saturday March 30 from 10am to 4pm.

  • REAL BUNNY PHOTOS & CHARACTER MEET & GREETS

  • SUSTAINABLE CRAFTING AT IKEA

IKEA Family members can register in advance for an in-store Sustainable Crafting activity on Wednesday, March 27! There are 2 sessions but spots are filling fast, so register while you can!

Another fun IKEA activity is a visit to Smaland! Kids can play while the grownups shop!

  • TRY AN UPCYCLING PROJECT

Check out Strathcona County’s HodgePodge Lodge, or the City of Edmonton’s Reuse Centre, and gather some materials for an upcycle craft or household project! Items at these locations are free to take and use! (Or, if you’re doing some spring cleaning, donate your goods to these facilities!)

Thursday, March 28 is the final Thursday of the month, and that means FREE admission for everyone to the Art Gallery of Alberta from 4pm-7pm! (Kids always get in FREE to the AGA.)

Drop in to Michaels on Saturday, March 23 and make Plastic Egg Bunnies! Kids’ Club activities are FREE and happen from 10am to 12pm on alternating Saturdays.

  • SPRING BREAK MOVIES

Both Cineplex and Landmark theatres are offering discount family movies during spring break week! At Cineplex, choose from “Paw Patrol: The Movie”, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, “Peppa’s Cinema Party”, “Trolls Band Together” and “The Smurfs Party”.

At Landmark, choose from “Rocket Club: Across the Cosmos”, “Wish”, “Trolls Band Together” and “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”. Tickets are $5 and $1 from each ticket sold goes to support Kids Help Phone.

Metro Cinema has one Reel Family Cinema selection during Spring Break. Catch Labyrinth at 12pm on Saturday, March 23 with FREE admission for kids 12 and under. On March 30 & 31 there will be two screenings of The Boy and The Heron.

Dinosaurs the Exhibition is the feature at TELUS World of Science Edmonton

  • Get ready for a close encounter of the prehistoric kind! Dinosaurs: The Exhibition offers the chance to get up close and personal with dinosaur skeleton casts and animatronic dinosaurs from the Mesozoic Era! This is 10,000 feet of dino fun, including the chance to really dig in (pun intended) and learn more about giants that lived more than 66 million years ago! There will also be a special Tots Tent just for the littlest science enthusiasts. Enjoy Dinosaurs: The Exhibition daily – it’s included with your TELUS World of Science – Edmonton membership or daily admission!
