Calgary’s Tallest Slide has entered the picture! The new Calgary Playground at Fish Park in the Wolf Willow neighbourhood opened for play in August 2026.

We visited on a beautiful September afternoon and the playground was packed resulting in a huge queue of kids waiting inside the tall, slender slide tower. The downside of an amazing feature like Calgary’s tallest slide is that is results in kids waiting and, as reported by my daughter, the structure is less than ideal for that situation.

The kids spent a lot of time exploring the other features of this new Calgary playground – including a balance area, an obstacle course section and a fun, flat-top spinner.

Steps away from the main playground is the toddler playground, featuring swings, a rope and rock climber and bear and trout statues. Both playgrounds are based in rubber surfacing. There is seating, picnic tables and benches, in both areas, but few trees.
