It’s small but mighty and the kind of community play space that we’re here for! Element Park, a new playground in St. Albert, doesn’t look like much as you approach, but looks can be deceiving! The climbing wall is a huge draw for my tweens – they spent a ton of time bouldering across the wall. The wooden, natural playground is definitely geared more toward toddlers, but there are options that big kids will still enjoy, like the rope climbers, balance beams and teeter-totter. (They may just use these things in a slightly different way!)
Steps away from the playground is a small parkour area with balance and agility obstacles. A boarded rink will offer ice in winter – and according to the St. Albert website, there will be leisure ice available here too.
There are benches and picnic tables in the area. A small parking lot sits to the west of the play areas. There are no trees for shade at this playground.
