Edmonton Grads Park
It’s a tiny little playground tucked just off a multi-use trail in Westmount – but it represents a remarkable piece of history! This is Edmonton Grads Park – named after the legendary female basketball team that boasted a lifetime winning record over 96% for their 25 year career! Dr. James Naismith called the group “the finest basketball team that ever took to a floor” – pretty high praise from the inventor of the game!
This park features an older wooden playground. The girls enjoyed the climbing equipment, monkey bars, sliders and slides – and they liked reading the signs about the legendary Grads!
