Dermott District Park
***Edit – March 2, 2023 – The main towers of Dermott District Park have been burned in a fire. That section of the playground is cordened off by caution tape and temporary fencing. The rest of the playground appears to be unaffected.***
Dermott District Park – truly one of the most unique places to play in Edmonton. It is beautiful, natural, unusual and so much fun!
This playground has two distinct areas. The smaller “toddler” area has a little camping hut with slide, a giant leaf “stage”, stumps for hopping, balance beams and 2 baby swings.
The larger main area has the huge double tower with the super slide, a rock-and-rope play area, a couple of balance/obstacle course sections, and a smaller second slide built into the hill.
Additionally, there’s a workout park, a large swing set (4 standard swings), and a massive gliding rope “swing”. This park is based in wood chips, and there are plenty of seats and picnic tables.
