Cy Becker Park

It’s a bird… it’s a plane… wait – it actually IS a plane! It’s the awesome airplane playground in Cy Becker Park. There’s a good reason for the plane theme – Cy Becker was one of our province’s first bush pilots and a wartime flying ace – now the neighbourhood that bears his name boasts one of the coolest theme playgrounds around.

We love how the main structure is designed in the shape of a plane, complete with the propeller on the front and the staircase made of trunks and air mail packages. There’s also an adorable plane rider for the little ones. This playgrounds has great slides, climbers and monkey bar variations under a bright rainbow stained glass flower! It has the squishiest soft rubber base, a paved loop perfect for bikes or scooters and even a little spray park! This playground has one baby swing and one big kid swing and a great hill for sledding come winter. An ice ribbon is also built on the paved loop for skating.
