Cloverdale Playground
It fits into the category of “older-but-still-awesome”, but for me, it’s mostly sentimental! I love Cloverdale Playground in Gallagher Park.
Since the girls were tiny, we’ve always made a point to visit this playground whenever we make a trip to the Muttart Conservatory. To this day I think it’s one of the cities great toddler parks, thanks to the unique layout of the smaller structure. It’s a ramped and tiered play area with perfectly-sized climbers and slides.
There’s also a main structure that includes a cool obstacle course, and a variety of swings. (2 baby and 4 standard.) Cloverdale’s spray park is small but mighty, and so colourful, on a rubber base. (The rest of the playground is based in sand) The playground is close to the road, but fenced, and offers the backdrop of the Gallagher hill, which is great for sledding in winter. There are benches and picnic tables, and a covered gazebo, and there is usually a porta potty on site.
