Canmore’s Best Playground

Visiting this mountain town? Canmore has a number of great little play spaces, and let’s be honest, the views can’t be beat – but we think this playground rises high above the rest! In our opinion, Centennial Park is Canmore’s Best Playground!
Our girls have been playing here since they were very small, and the toddler area is outstanding! The main structure is a train, complete with engine, bell and ticket booth. There’s even a train crossing sign and tracks painted on the rubber base! A tiny music area and stage complete the space.
The larger structure is a series of bigger slides, climbers, and obstacle challenges (monkey bars, rings and turning wheels). There’s a unique rope and metal dish-style merry-go-round. The playgrounds are based in rubber.
Set aside from the main parks is a set of swings (4 standard and 2 baby) along with two diggers. This area is based in pea gravel. Nearby you’ll also find n area with adult workout equipment.
In yet another area is the newest feature of this park – a separate fenced section with an Ability Swing, designed exclusively for wheelchair use.
There is a bathroom building in the park, as well as plenty of benches and picnic tables. The park sits at the east end of a fenced field that has a large green space in the centre and a middle school in the west end.
