Canmore Lions Park Playground

Canmore is home to a new inclusive playground! Lions Park Playground is a bright and beautiful space for all to play! The entire playground is based in rubber and there is a paved path connecting the playground to the road.
A ramp leads on to the large main structure of the playground – and onto the spring-mounted “tippy canoe”! (The canoe also features a very challenging finger maze!) There are tons of climbers, slides, and monkey bar variations here! An in-ground merry-go-round and a spinning chair add to the inclusive options – as do a wide variety of finger games, panels and puzzles.
This playground features a new take on the classic playground car. The car looks like its predecessors, but it’s split in the middle, to allow enough space for a wheelchair or mobility device to pass through. Smaller standalone features include a toddler structure, with slides, climbers, games and even a low swing. There is also a separate “imagination station” with a market counter, welcome door and more, all under two shade screens.
A large swing set completes the park, with 3 standard swings, 2 baby swings and one accessible swing. There are benches surrounding the park and some large trees for share. The park sits at the back of a large greenspace and there are tennis courts in the field too.
