  • CITY OF EDMONTON CANADA DAY FIREWORKS

The City of Edmonton sets off an incredible fireworks display over Edmonton’s River Valley at 11pm! The best viewing spots include Queen Elizabeth Park, Victoria Park or Constable Ezio Faraone Park. If you can’t make it to see the show in person, you can find a link to livestream the show HERE.

Other locations for Canada Day FIREWORKS around Edmonton: Edmonton Garrison (10:30pm); Fort Saskatchewan (10:45pm); Mill Woods, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Leduc and Beaumont. (all 11pm)

  • CANADA DAY AT THE ALBERTA LEGISLATURE

Head to the Alberta Legislature for a day full of fun! Things kick off on the south grounds with a pancake breakfast from 7am-10:30am. Happening simultaneously is the Canada Day Road Race.

Then enjoy an afternoon of fun, music, entertainment and a family fun zone on Violet King Henry Plaza and the Legislature Grounds! Bring towels and swimsuits or a change of clothes for the kids to enjoy the wading pool and water fountains!

  • 2025 MILL WOODS CANADA DAY CELEBRATION

One of the biggest Canada Day parties in the city is held in Mill Woods. Enjoy family activities including train rides, games and more, plus entertainment, food trucks and fireworks at 11pm!

Mill Woods Town Centre is also hosting a Wild Rose Shows Carnival from July 1 to 5, so your visit to the Mill Woods Canada Day celebration can also include fair rides and carnival games!

  • GALAXY FEST 2025

July 1 is not just our country’s birthday – it’s the TELUS World of Science – Edmonton’s birthday too! Mark the occasion with a day of fun including the annual Rocket Launch at 12pm (weather permitting), plus a variety of other fun activities throughout the science centre! Be sure to check out the current feature exhibition “Dogs! A Science Tail“!

  • THE WORKS ART AND DESIGN FESTIVAL

July 1 is the last day to enjoy The Works Art and Design Festival. Many of the festival’s exhibits are set up in Sir Winston Churchill Square. When you visit, you can also play in the City Hall Fountains, or pop over to the Royal Alberta Museum or the Art Gallery of Alberta for more fun!
