Calgary’s Rangeview Barn Park

Calgary’s Rangeview Barn Park is, without a doubt, one of the coolest theme playgrounds we’ve ever encountered! The big red barn offers fun for little kids and big kids alike. There are a variety of ways to climb up – including colourful climbing holds on the barn doors! You can zip down a number of ways too – there are two great slides plus a fire pole!

The girls loved climbing on the bright green tractor. The engine was their favourite – you can hide right inside! I think the best part was the cute little wagon. It’s actually a teeter-totter! Set alongside the playground are benches and a beautiful, and very large, wooden picnic table. The playground is based in rubber.

Rangeview is a growing neighbourhood, with easy access off Stony Trail. It is promoted as Calgary’s first garden-to-table community. The neighbourhood offers community gardens, orchards, a greenhouse and more. It was a bustling construction zone when we visited in March 2023.
