***June 2026 update – the giant slide has been permanently removed from Broadmoor Lake Park!***
Broadmoor Lake is truly a Sherwood Park gem! While the super slide may be gone (as of June 2026), the tall rope climber remains, offering one of the best playground challenges in the Edmonton area. There is an extensive main structure with 3 twisty slides, monkey bars, and a roller ramp! (Think treadmill meets roller slide!)
Looking for a great playground for toddlers? This is one of the best! There is a pirate ship that is perfectly sized for smaller kids – plus, there is a small slide built into a hill. The nature play area at this playground also offers fun for kids of all ages, with hopping logs and, rocks and a sunken pirate ship.
Broadmoor Lake Park has one of the best spray parks in the Edmonton area! Here you’ll find another pirate ship – with SLIDES! There are also spraying dragons, ground sprayers and a small water play river.
This playground has a large swing area with 4 standard, 3 baby, 1 accessible swing and 2 saucer swings. There is also a separate sand pit with diggers, spinners and low, hammock-style swings.
Enjoy benches, shaded picnic tables, and the trail system around Broadmoor Lake too! In the winter, the adjacent sports field floods a skating track. Most of the time, washrooms can be accessed in the nearby arena or swimming pool.
