Blackstone Playground

Avast ye mateys – set sail to the south and let your lads and lassies loose in this bounty of a playground! This is Blackstone Playground – otherwise known as the Pirate Playground in Leduc. It’s as fun to play on as it is to talk about!

To be honest, my scallywags preferred to be marooned on the rocks, barrels, ropes and treasure chests than to play on the ship itself (typical landlubbers!) but they did batten down the hatches with a few trips up the cimbing wall and down the slide. Watch out for the critters that roam the depths of the wood chips, and be sure to check the treasure map to make sure you’re on the right track to find the pirate’s booty!

Parents you’re going to want to visit just for the fantastic photo ops! This playground is based in wood chips and there are a few nearby benches. There are no swings.
