Planning a visit to the Central Okanagan? We’ve rounded up a list of the Best Playgrounds in Kelowna and West Kelowna! Scroll down to the bottom for the map with the locations of all the playgrounds!
Julia’s Junction
- 2569 May Street, West Kelowna, BC
- Photos don’t come close to being enough to show you how AMAZING this ultra-inclusive playground is – or to share the incredible story about how this playground came to be. Click HERE to read more about Julia’s Junction and HERE to read more about how Play Envy, the company behind this park, is rethinking the inclusive playground.
DeHart Park
- 687 DeHart Road, Kelowna, BC
- DeHart Park is a remarkable example of what a community outdoor space should be! It includes everything from playgrounds to sports facilities to a fenced dog run and ninja and fitness parks! Click HERE to see all my photos of this park and the full list of features! (It’s pretty impressive!)
Burne Park
- 838 Burne Avenue, Kelowna, BC
- Kelowna’s new Burne Park Playground opened in Fall 2025. It’s part of the multi-year Mill Creek Linear Park development. This is a stunning new playground in Kelowna. The girls loved the giant climber and curly slide. There are a lot of natural features included in this playground. It’s based in rubber and the design beneath the main strucutre is a turtle!
Ballou Park
- 1859 Ballou Road, Kelowna, BC
- I spotted this one on social media over the summer and immediately added it to my “MUST DO” list for our visit to Kelowna! Ballou Park is a new (2023) natural playground with a cable track zipline (the best kind!), a slide built into a hill and a cute wooden “treehouse”. There are other accessory features, like balance beams, climbing walls and swings, to name a few.
Quilchena Park
- 347 Quilchena Drive, Kelowna, BC
- We’ve been visiting Quilchena Park for years, after a family friend gave us a tip about it. We love the super slide, of course! The playground is fun, there are bathrooms on site and there is a lovely fenced spray park! The community and this playground were rebuilt after the 2003 Okanagan Mountain Park fire. (I didn’t get a photo of the spray park, but you can see one HERE on the City of Kelowna’s website.)
Last Mountain Park
- 3171 Webber Drive, West Kelowna, BC
- This newer playground in West Kelowna features a track zipline and a really cool main structure with a unique slide and a fabulous rope climber. Accessory pieces here include swings (1 standard, 1 baby and 1 saucer) and a unique spinner. The playground sits alongside a canyon and there are
Mission Creek Regional Park
- 2363 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC
- We love the new natural playground addition to Mission Creek Regional Park! This obstacle course of challenge and fun can be found just a bit to the east of the original playground location. The original playground features an older-but-still-awesome main structure and a huge rope climber!
- 2026 Update: The new main playground at Mission Creek Regional Park was replaced in 2026 and includes inclusive features and rubber surfacing that is decorated with fish and bear paws! One of the highlights of our most-recent trip to Kelowna was walking down the Mission Creek Trail to Turtle Pond and watching turtles swimming and basking in the sun! Turtle Pond can be found on google maps.
Ben Lee Spray Park
- 900 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC
- The giant spraying dragon is one of the coolest features at Ben Lee Spray Park in Kelowna – but the fun doesn’t end there. This park also features giant spraying flowers, a misting frog and colourful turning sprayers. There is a bathroom building on-site. Ben lee Park also has a fun little playground. You can see a photo of it HERE.
Parkinson Recreation Centre Playground
- 1800 Parkinson Way, Kelowna, BC
- We came for the giant Ogopogo – we stayed for all the rest of the fun! The Parkinson Recreation Centre in Kelowna features an inclusive, rubber-based playground. Behind the centre is a vast selection of adult outdoor workout equipment. There’s also a lovely little creek to explore and we found an area with a few pieces of older playground equipment too!
Strathcona Park
- 2290 Abbott Street, Kelowna, BC
- Proof that the coolest playgrounds aren’t always the biggest. Strathcona Park has a tall climbing tower with three massive orange slides. The entire back half is a series of unique rope climbers. This waterfront playground gets bonus points for having the most epic views!
- 2026 update! Strathcona Park playground is now a fully fenced and gates playground in Kelowna! It’s just steps away from a nice beach area. We also walked south of the playground, down the beach, to explore the Sibell Maude-Roxby Wetlands Boardwalk – an amazing hidden gem right off Lake Okanagan!

Just a short drive north of Kelowna is Lake Country. We think you’ll like Swalwell Park in Lake Country, BC!

Just a short drive south of Kelowna is the quaint community of Summerland. We think you’ll like Summerland Memorial Park!
