Avonmore Playground
“Do you know where the Ninja playground is?” a friend asked me recently. I didn’t know it by that name, but the Ninja Playground could be the perfect way to describe Avonmore Playground! It has the biggest and best ropes course around – fun for kids and grownups too. (The stuff that is easy for the grownups is more challenging for the kids, and vice-versa!)
Beyond the ropes, this park has everything – a toddler park, a big kid park, a spray park, swings (6 standard, 1 baby, 1 accessible, and 2 saucer.) There’s also a 2-tier rope merry-go-round, a dome climber, an umbrella spinner, a supernova circle and a small rock and log natural area. There are picnic tables and benches all around (including a covered space) plus a very small dirt and wood bike course. Avonmore School, across the field, has a vast cement parking lot perfect for scooters, skateboards and basketball.
