Andy’s Playground

Love – Kindness – Courage – Laughter – Selflessness
This is Andy’s Playground in Fort Saskatchwan, named in memory of Andy Polanski. It sounds like he was a wonderful young man. I didn’t know him, but I kind of wish I had. He loved baseball and giving back. You can read his incredible story on the website of the foundation that bears his name – apcf.ca .

After Andy’s tragic death, his community came together to build this beautiful playground in his memory – complete with signs throughout that remind us all of the importance of “love, kindness, courage, laughter and selflessness”. Andy’s legacy lives on in this incredible Fort Saskatchewan playground.

Here you’ll find the coolest toddler park, set in rubber. The best big kid park, set in sand. Tons of slides – including our favourite, the intertwined red and orange slides. Climbers galore, including freestanding climb structures. Swings – 4 standard, 2 baby and 1 saucer. Oh, and did I mention the and best Zipline around?!? This is a rare cable-track zipline – they are bouncier and longer than fixed-track ziplines, and so much fun!

This playground is located at the Dow Ball Fields in Fort Saskatchewan. There are benches and picnic tables and in season the outhouses are open.
