2024 Update! Phase 2 at Hardisty School Playground is now complete! (August 2024) The massive new climber is one of the biggest and most unique we’ve found in Edmonton! There are also 2 banks of swings – one with four standard swings and another with two saucer swings. An inclusive play area now sits alongside the old playground with an in-ground merry-go-round, a spinning sun-catcher and accessories like a musical panel and finger games.
The older playground remains an excellent example of an obstacle course playground with a variety of challengers for kids who love to climb, balance and hang. The main structure is a gem, with places to play on and below, and 3 great slides. This playground also has a couple of seat spinners and an umbrella spinner.
There are benches and tables in the field beyond the park. Most of the playground is based in wood chips with one section of pour-in-place rubber.
