Golden Skybridge

The Golden Skybridge is an ever-expanding tourist attraction in the Canadian Rocky Mountain town of Golden, BC. We first visited the year the Skybridge opened – 2021. We made a return visit in Summer 2026 and the Skybridge options included:
- 2 Skybridges including the highest in Canada!
- Cross-canyon Sky Zipline
- Railrider Mountain Coaster
- Canyon Edge Challenge Course Aerial Park
- Giant Canyon Swing
- Axe Throwing
- Auto-belay rock climbing
- Treetop Play Park and Toddler playground
- Gem mining
- Eagle Net Park (opening August 1, 2026)

Top Tips
Our family’s top tip is to go EARLY! Hours vary through the season, but we visited in Summer when the Skybridge opens at 8am. We arrived at 9 and our timing was great. We went straight for the Canyon Edge Challenge Course which took the majority of our time at the site.

Canyon Edge Challenge Course
Everyone in our family participated in the Canyon Edge Challenge Course! Visitors will get harnesses and helmets. There are cubbies where you can stash loose things like jackets, hats and keys. Phones can’t be brought up on the course.
There are 4 different courses to try – green (beginner), blue (intermediate), black (advanced) and an all-zipline course. We skipped green and went straight to blue followed by the ziplines. The girls and my husband did the black course. You have to demonstrate a pull-up before you are allowed to try the black course. It is definitely sized for taller people and the girls found a couple spots to be tricky to reach.
Closed toed shoes are required. According to the website, participants must be 6 years or older and a minimum of 50 pounds.

Railrider Mountain Coaster
The Railrider Mountain Coaster was such a blast! We each had our own car. Drivers control the speed and brakes of their car. Kids 3 and up can enjoy this experience, but those under 9 must ride with someone aged 16 or over. When two people ride together, the person seated in the back is the controller.

Sky Zipline
I’m not going to lie – the girls had to convince me to do this! I was so nervous launching across the canyon on the Sky Zipline – but what an incredible experience! We all loved this one! Participants must be 6+ and between 50 and 250 pounds.

Eagle Net Park
Opening August 1, 2026, the Eagle Net Park is the newest feature at the Golden Skybridge! It wasn’t yet open when we visited, but we could see it. It’s massive and looks like a ton of fun!

More!
Other features at the Golden Skybridge include the Giant Canyon Swing (we didn’t do this as the girls didn’t meet the size requirement), Axe Throwing (ages 9+), Climbing Wall (ages 3+) and the amazing Treetop Play Park. We spent a full 6 hours at the Skybridge and had so much fun!

Rockies Rangers
Another new feature for 2026 is the Rockies Rangers program! Kids 16 and under can pick up age-appropriate field guides at 7 attractions in Jasper, Banff and Golden. They’ll learn about the areas and meet the wildlife ambassador at each location – and they can collect special patches at each site. This fun program is free to participate in with your admission at each location.
