Looking for FREE or discount museum admission in Canada? Want to save money on National Park visits in Canada? You’ve come to the right place! For the second year in a row, the Government of Canada is offering the Canada Strong Pass! From June 19 to September 7, 2026, save money on National Park visits, museum entries and more!
National Park visits
From June 19 to September 7, 2026, enjoy FREE admission to participating national parks, national historic sites and national marine conservation areas. In Alberta, this applies to admission into Banff, Jasper, Elk Island, Waterton and Wood Buffalo National Parks. Free or reduced admission at museums and galleries
The Canada Strong pass also provides free or reduced admission to museums and galleries in Canada. Kids 17 and under can get FREE museum admission, while those 18-24 will receive 50% off admission fees. In Edmonton, this applies to Royal Alberta Museum and Rutherford House. It also applies to several other popular Alberta museums, including the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller and the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village in Lamont County. You don’t need a physical pass
The Canada Strong pass is not a physical pass that you need to pick up. The discounts will be applied at each location. Bonus – If you’ve already purchased a Parks Canada Discovery pass your pass will be extended by the number of days covered in the Canada Strong program!
