Edmonton Playgrounds checks out Calgary's Wolf Playground and ninja park!

Calgary’s Wolf Playground

It’s the perfect theme playground for the Calgary neighbourhood known as Wolf Willow – a Wolf Park! We were so excited to check out the 2024 Wolf playground. It’s a play space with plenty of options. There is a tall tower that features 3 great slides – two drops an a curly slide. The tower offers a variety of climbers, a gymnastics bar, climbing rings and even a cozy space underneath with a hammock for resting in the shade!

The rest of the playground is fun and unique. Here you’ll find a bridge, balance ropes, hanging sway circles and more. There are sensory features including gears, finger mazes, a colour wheel and spinning marbles. This playground offers one saucer swing. It’s entirely based in rubber and there is a small shelter for shade. Next to the playground is a beautiful basketball court.

The most exciting part for my daughter was the Ninja Playground! We’ve never seen one quite like this! It includes some truly challenging ninja features, like a spider wall, large pizza wheels and hanging platforms called the “unstable bridge”. There are also more traditional pieces, like balance beams, high monkey bars, a climbing rope and a hanging climbable net. This is a great spot for adults looking for a fitness challenge and kids looking for more of a playground challenge!
