The new Edmonton playground in Michaels Park or North Millbourne Community League will be a popular spot for families in the area! It offers a great variety of play equipment along with access to plenty of green space for running!
This playground opened in Fall 2024. It has a main structure with slides, climbers and a great obstacle course that is connected to a huge rope climber. There are two merry-go-rounds here – a tall rope merry-go-round and a small classic merry-go-round. (The latter doesn’t spin all that well.) A huge bank of swings rounds out the traditional with 4 standard swings, 3 baby swings and 1 accessible swing.
There is a panel play area with sensory features and the toddler section of this playground includes a low bank of monkey bars for the kids just learning.
Additional features include a covered picnic area and a selection of outdoor fitness equipment. The playground is based in woodchips with a bit of rubber. There are mature trees and a picnic shelter for shade.
