Idea Lab Kids

Do you have a kids who loves robotics, 3D printers, coding, art, slime, cooking and fun? I have two of them and they LOVE Idea Lab Kids in St. Albert. This STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) facility offers after-school programs, day camps, summer camps, school field trips, homeschool field trips, birthday parties, and much more!

We spent a day at Idea Lab and got to sample all the fun that kids can have at a camp or class. The kids got to design their own creation for the 3D printer – that was a huge hit! Robotics was fun too. The kids created art-bots and motorized them to move and draw on a giant sheet of paper.

Cooking was an exceptional experience! The kids learned how to make their own dough, then used teamwork to make a pot of pizza sauce. Making your own scratch pizza is almost as fun as eating your own scratch pizza!

Fizzy Slime was the activity set up for us in the art room. Slime that erupts like a volcano? Yes please – but truthfully, I’m extra glad the kids got to experience this one at Idea Lab and not in my kitchen!

Want to check out Idea Lab Kids for yourself? Drop in for one of their events or workshops – like a Slime Splat-urday sessions. Kids can make the slime and you can check out the facility.

Idea Lab also takes the stress out of the birthday party experience by planning a fun and engaging theme birthday party for you – AND taking care of the decorating, set up and clean up for you!
