If you’ve been following for a while, you know we are big fans of the adorable, animal-themed spray park at Zoie Gardner Park.  The rest of the play area wasn’t much to speak of… until Fall 2025.  The new playground at Zoie Gardner Park is now open and it’s certainly an upgrade for this neighbourhood.

The play area is accessible, with rubber surfacing throughout – however, there aren’t many other inclusive features. Kids who enjoy climbers and slides will enjoy the tropical-themed main-structure with a variety of ways up – and 2 large slides and 1 small slide to get down.  There are accessory pieces at this playground including a couple of spinners and a ground ‘gator. Here you’ll also find swings – a saucer swing, 2 standard swings and a baby/parent “Generation” swing.

The spray park remains the adorable gem its always been! The big and bright tiger and snake are our favourites. There are also a variety of directional sprayers, including a tropical bird and elephant, and a water tower with tipping buckets that is topped with a mischievous monkey.

This newly refurbished Edmonton Playground sits on a lovely park in a mature neighbourhood so there are trees for shade, as well as benches, picnic tables and a gazebo.  A new sports court remained fenced when we visited but will no doubt be a well-loved space for this community.

Zoie Gardner park is named after an Edmonton woman and Order of Canada recipient to dedicated her life to caring for children. You can read more about her story HERE.
